卐 सत्यराम सा 卐
दादू छूटे जीवतां, मूवाँ छूटे नांहि ।
मूवाँ पीछे छूटिये, तो सब आये उस मांहि ॥
मूवाँ पीछे मुक्ति बतावैं, मूवाँ पीछे मेला ।
मूवाँ पीछे अमर अभय पद, दादू भूले गहिला ॥
मूवाँ पीछे वैकुंठ वासा, मूवाँ स्वर्ग पठावैं ।
मूवाँ पीछे मुक्ति बतावैं, दादू जग बोरावैं ॥
मूवाँ पीछे पद पहुँचावैं, मूवाँ पीछे तारैं ।
मूवाँ पीछे सद्गति होवै, दादू जीवित मारैं ॥
मूवाँ पीछे भक्ति बतावैं, मूवाँ पीछे सेवा ।
मूवाँ पीछे संयम राखैं, दादू दोजख देवा ॥

How can we attain the stage of ultimate, transcendent and super consciousness in this very life? Can we cross this physical-metaphysical barrier for going beyond the portal of death within our lifetime, before dragon of death swallows the swan of living mortal life? The worldly intellectual may say no, but saints assure us that we can.

The saints speak from their personal experience of achieving salvation within their lifetime and also teach us to do the same within our lifetime. If anyone promises heaven after death then he is surely cheating you as there is no guarantee that we shall do so after death? If anyone promises an illiterate that he will become a scholar after his death is an unbelievable lie. Katha Upnishad says:
.
हम इस वर्तमान ज़िन्दगी में कैसे परम उत्कर्ष और चरम आत्मिक अवस्था को पा सकते हैं । क्या हम इस जड़ - चेतन की सन्धि के अवरोधपूर्ण अवस्था को पार करके जीते जी मरने की कला इस जीवन काल में हासिल कर सकते हैं, उस प्राकृतिक मौत की अवस्था से पहले, जब मौत का खौफ़नाक दानवी साया इस हंस-रूपी बहुमूल्य और अनमोल जीवन को निगल लेता है । सांसारिक बुद्धिजीवी मौत के बाद की ज़िंदगी के अस्तित्व को नकारते हैं जबकि सन्त पूरे विश्वास और दावे से कहते हैं कि हम ये कला अपने जीवन काल में ही सीख सकते हैं ।

सन्त मोक्ष पाने का रास्ता अपने निजी अनुभव से बताते हैं और हमें इस जीते जी मरने की कला सिखाने का प्रयत्न करते हैं । अगर कोई धर्म का ठेकेदार आपसे मरने के बात ज़न्नत में जाने का प्रलोभन देता है तो वह निश्चित रूप से आपको उल्लू बना रहा है । अगर आप ज़िंदगी भर अनपढ़ रहे हो तो कोई कैसी आपको मरने के बाद विद्वान बना सकता है ? कथा उपनिषद कहती है:
.
इह चेदशकदबौद्धं प्राक् शरीरस्य विस्रस: ।
तत: सर्गेषु लोकेषु शरीरत्वाय कल्पते ॥
If one realizeth not one’s self during one’s lifetime,
From life to life in a series of births and deaths
Must one go. (Katha Upnishad 11:3:4)

Kena Upnishad also says:
इह चेदवेदीदथ सतयमस्ति न चेदिहावेदीनमहती विनष्टि: ॥
If one knoweth not one’s self during one’s lifetime,
The ills that may be in store for one after death,
One cannot even imagine. (Kena Upnishad 11:5)
.
Kabir Sahib also says in Sabdavali:
साधो भाई जीवत ही करो आसा ॥टेक॥
जीवत समुझै जीवत बुझै, जीवत मुक्त निवासा ॥
अबहूँ मिला सो तबहूँ मिलैगा, नहिं तो जमपुर बासा ॥
.
During thy lifetime do thou hope to have realization,
O thou mystic friend,
For while living doth a person understand;
Knoweth he while living,
And while living doth he attains salvation….
If here dost thou find Him,
Then shalt thou meet Him hereafter;
Else into the jaws of death shalt you go,
Taking births and rebirths.
(Kabir, Kabir Sahib Ki Shabdavali, Vol. 1, Page 38:46)

अगर आज़ होता है मुझसे ज़न्नत का वादा,
तो क्यों भरोसा करूँ मैं मुल्ले के,
ना देखे हुए अन्जान कल का ।
Saint Namdev also quotes in Guruvani,
If after death dost thou give me salvation, O Lord,
Then salvation none would know.
(Namdev, Adi Granth, Page 1392)

मूए हूए जउ मुकति देहुगे मुकति न जानै कोइला ॥
If You liberate me after I am dead, no one will know that I am liberated.
